From the very outset of his career, Bruce W White was drawn to the consumer bankruptcy practice. Following his graduation from law school at the University of  Richmond, he served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Blackwell N. Shelley, a Federal Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia, Richmond Division. He later worked for the  US Department of Agriculture, Farmers Home Administration (now the Farm  Service Agency) to serve as general counsel, and was appointed as a  Special Assistant US Attorney to prosecute cases in Virginia for the  Farmers Home Administration. He later spent several years as a sole  practitioner representing debtors and creditors, then in 1991  incorporated Bruce W. White, P.C. to represent clients in Chapter 7 and  Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases and handle creditor rights issues.
